Hyperreflection is an interactive installation which functions as a digital mirror and a portal to the digital realm. The spectator is presented with an array of self-reflections. Faces and movements are continuously detected, analysed and imitated.
With its reflecting surface the internet strips away established social norms. Given orders of class, age and wealth are no longer of importance as everyone presents themselves as they desire. This borderless universe offers us inspiration, affection and affiliation — in return we have to compete with the whole world.
Project funded by the Berne Design Foundation.
